Charles Douglas Davis is a former NFL running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who played in six games for the expansion team and started four of the first five games before getting hurt and only appeared in one game in the second half of the season before winding up on the Injured Reserve list. He put up respectable rookie numbers in 1974 with the Cincinnati Bengals, and was originally a second round pick of the Bengals but missing the 1975 season through injury proved decisive for his pro career. He never played again in the NFL after leaving Tampa Bay.
