Richard Appleby is a former NCAA wide reciever. Appleby started all three of his seasons in college at Georgia, having switched to wide reciever. During his collegiate career, he threw an 80-yard option TD pass to win a key game against the opposing Florida Gators. Richard Appleby was drafted in the 4th round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, did suit up for the first-ever preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams without seeing any playing time, and was released shortly afterwards.
