Steve Young is a former left tackle who played the expansion season for the Buccaneers. Steve Young started 11 games at left tackle for the expansion Bucs having become a starter when Dave Reavis was lost for the season through injury. Young was traded to the Dolphins in a deal for CB Jeris White before the 1977 season and played every game for Miami that year, then he played briefly with the Packers before leaving the NFL for good. Young now currently lives in Tampa Bay, Florida, with his home team.

Steve Young played in 13 games, and started 11. Steve Young recovered 2 fumbles. Young was famously recognized on films as a worthy tackle that would have a bright future with the gteam, but he never played for them again, because he was traded to the Miami Dolphins at the end of the season for cornerback Jeris White who lasted 3 seasons with the team.
